Different Religious Viewpoints

"If an Emerson were forced to be a Wesley, or a Moody forced to be a Whitman, the total human consciousness of the divine would suffer."  William James--The Varieties of Religious Experience.

William James uses the phrase "twice born" quite a bit in his book. I see people moving through a revolving door, often rejecting the worldview they have when younger for something different. We must learn to accept the fact that others may differ from us in many facets of their and our life experiences and perspectives.
