Too Much of a Gentleman

I like what Will Durant wrote about Pietro Bembo: "He was too much of a gentleman to disturb the consolations of the faithful." Bembo lived from 1470 until 1547. I primarily think Bembo was very sensitive to the spiritual sensibilities of the people of his time. We too need to be sensitive to the various perspectives of our contemporaries.
